By Mac Hickman
District Governor-Elect 2013-14
The new Rotary year is almost upon us, which means that our next big District 6670 event is the District Assembly on Saturday, May 18. This is your opportunity to learn how clubs organize and lead their members to a successful year.
The District Assembly is designed specifically for incoming club presidents, secretaries, treasurers and committee chairs. That said, all Rotarians who are interested and want to know more about Rotary International are invited.
Topics include: orientation and new member tips, what to avoid even if you’re an experienced club secretary, and what Future Vision and District Grants mean to your club and your club’s treasurer.
The assembly is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., including time for networking and lunch. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Our location: Normandy Church, 450 W. Alex Bell Road, Dayton, 45459. It’s located right off I-675 just past the interchange with Ohio 48 (Far Hills Avenue).
RSVP by May 10 to firstname.lastname@example.org. The cost is $10 a person. See the District Assembly flyer and registration form for full details.
I look forward to seeing you there. Please make sure that your club is represented.
